Phuket is more than just beaches and beautiful sunsets — it is a vibrant island filled with culture, history, and stunning viewpoints. If you’re staying at our beach resort in Nai Yang, you are perfectly positioned to enjoy some of Phuket’s most iconic and enriching attractions.
Just minutes from our resort and close to Phuket International Airport, Wat Mongkol Wararam (affectionately known as Wat Nai Yang) is a peaceful and culturally rich destination. Originally built by local villagers and guided by Reverend Father Nang Suea, the temple has grown into a cherished spiritual site, receiving official recognition in 1912.
Stroll through the serene temple grounds, admire the traditional Thai architecture, and experience a quieter side of Phuket’s cultural heritage.
A little further south on the island, the majestic Big Buddha is one of Phuket’s most iconic landmarks. Standing 45 meters tall atop Nakkerd Hill, this gleaming white marble statue offers panoramic views over southern Phuket that are truly unforgettable.
Beyond the view, the peaceful atmosphere and the soft sound of temple bells make for a spiritual and calming experience. After taking in the sights, unwind at one of the nearby cafes with a Thai iced tea and a view that stretches out to the sea.
Another great spot for sweeping island views is Khao Rang Viewpoint, also known as Rang Hill. From this elevated perch, you can look out over Phuket Town, the surrounding hills, and even catch a glimpse of the Big Buddha in the distance.
It’s also nicknamed Monkey Hill for a reason, where you might encounter a few playful macaques along the way! Just be sure to keep your belongings close.
Every Sunday evening, the charming streets of Phuket Old Town come alive with colour, flavours, and music. Phuket Walking Street, set along Thalang Road, is a lively market set against a backdrop of beautifully preserved Chino-Portuguese architecture.
Browse handmade crafts, try delicious local street food, and enjoy live performances from local musicians. It’s the perfect place to soak in local culture and bring home a few unique souvenirs.
